Barefoot in the Park: Village Square TheatreNow - February 3, 2013 Village Square Theatre presents! Paul and Corie Bratter are newlyweds in every sense of the word. He's a straight-as-an-arrow lawyer and she's a free spirit always looking for the latest kick. Their new apartment is her most recent find-too expensive with bad plumbing and in need of a paint job. After a six day honeymoon, they get a surprise visit from Corie's loopy mother and decide to play matchmaker during a dinner with their neighbor-in-the-attic Velasco, where everything that can go wrong, does. Paul just doesn't understand Corie, as she sees it. He's too staid, too boring and she just wants him to be a little more spontaneous, running "barefoot in the park" would be a start. Presented by a talented cast at Village Square Theatre in Lexington. More on their website |

Opera at USC presents Das Barbecü: Drayton Hall Theatre
Friday February 1 & 2 @ 7:30 PM, February 3 @ 3 PM
According to this review, "Das Barbecü is a two-hour retelling of Wagner's "Ring" cycle, specifically the fourth opera, Götterdammerüng. It sets the action smack dab in the middle of Texas, complete with a "singin' cowboy" named Seigfried, a honky tonk bar called Hagen's Hideaway and a gaudy Verailles-style palace named Valhalla Ranch." This is not your grandmother's Wagner! Find out about tickets and other information on Opera at USC's Facebook page!
