Art in the Garden -

Robin Bowers, executive director or LICS, reminds everyone of their 2014 Art in the Garden on October 3 at Wingard's Nursery and Garden Center. Please Support Celebrate Sound -

Come out to support Celebrate Sound - Don't Walk in Silence, a national fund and awareness-raising walk created to help promote hearing health in our communities. It's Sponsored by the Sertoma Clubs of the Midlands, which includes the Lexington Sertoma Club. The event is Saturday, April 26. Registration is at 9 a.m. at the Masonic Lodge, Butler St., Lexington. Walk begins at 10 a.m. The walk is sponsored in conjunction with the fantastic and popular Kid's Day at nearby Virginia Hilton park. More details at www.lexingtonkidsday.com/welcome. It's easy to register for the Celebrate Sound Walk. Go to www.mycelebratesound.org/lexington and pick "Lexington Sertoma Club" as your team. Half of the net proceeds will be used to support the charitable activities of the Midlands area Sertoma Clubs. This includes supporting their hearing health activities, the Boys and Girls Clubs, and Camp Sertoma of South Carolina. The other half of the proceeds will help fund Sertoma's national hearing health mission as noted on the website above.
