Put Your Chili to the Test -
So you think your chili is the best in Red Bank? How about your cookies or cake?
This weekend you can compare it to some of the best cooks and bakers in the area at the second annual Red Bank Chili Cook-Off at Red Bank United Methodist Church. It all happens on tomorrow, February 22nd, starting at 1 p.m., when the chili and baked goods will be blind taste-tested by a panel of judges from the community and area restaurants. Admission for non-entrants is $5 for adults, $2 for 12 and under; this gets you a chili bowl for sampling the various entries plus a hot dog, chips and a drink. There will be a live praise band providing some gospel entertainment, and all proceeds will go to the Red Bank UMC Community Christmas Celebration Dinner that is held every December.
