A Midsummer Night's Dream: Columbia City Ballet: Koger Center Friday March 4, 2011 - Saturday March 5, 2011 Columbia City Ballet’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream brings the whimsy and magic of William Shakespeare’s greatest romantic comedy to the Koger Center stage. The USC Jazz String Concer: USC School of Music Friaday March 4, 2011 This USC Jazz String Concert) will be presented at 7:30 pm in the Recital Hall at the School of Music building on Assembly Street next to the Koger Center. A blend of classical music and jazz!. The University of South Carolina Jazz Strings is currently an ensemble of two violins, two cellos, piano, bass and drums, with an occasional sax player. There are very few groups of this kind anywhere in the world. It is a unique organization with string players playing music traditionally reserved for saxes and brass players. Admission is free. Arts & Draughts: Columbia Museum of Art Friday, March 4, 2011 Doors open at 7:00 p.m. / Performance begins at 8:00 p.m. Arts & Draughts is a new series designed to be an interactive party on the first Friday of every month at the Museum. At the March Arts & Draughts the Columbia Design League will present a special lecture and Q&A session with SVP for On-Air Design and Off-Air Creative, MTV and MTV2, Jeffrey Keyton at 7:15 p.m. Keyton oversees the award-winning design teams at MTV and has been instrumental in defining MTV’s distinctive visual personality for the last 20 years.
