9 to 5 The Musical: Town Theatre
Opens Friday March 1, 2013 - Saturday March 16, 2013
Like the hit movie, this adaptation -- with music written by the legendary Dolly Parton, one of the film's co-stars -- is a madcap tale about three very different but resourceful women who rally together to declare war on their tyrannical, sexist boss. What ensues is a hilarious romp as these three co-workers kidnap him and hold him hostage in his own home while they get the ultimate revenge. Will their plot work? Men needn’t be afraid of estrogen overload; 9 to 5 is as much about revenge and winning one for the underdogs as it is about girl power. Get all the details at the Town Theatre website!

Craftsmen's Spring Classic Art & Craft Festival: SC FairgroundsFriday March 1, 2013 - Sunday March 3, 2013 This amazing show comes around twice a year, and I make sure I clear my schedule for those weekends. I love to see the incredible works by this wonderful collection of carefully selected artists and craftsmen. Each show brings a variety of skilled artisans from around the country showcasing their pieces which range from hand built furniture, to hand made fine jewelry and bead work, adorable hand sewn children's clothing, 2 and 3 dimensional art, pottery, leather works... you name it, and if it's handmade, it's probably represented at this show. I think it's important to support artists like these who spend insane amounts of energy and time perfecting their crafts. If you have never been to this show, you owe it to yourself to attend. The Spring show always has plenty of Easter and Springtime-themed pieces for your home decor. You're going to love it! Visit www.CraftShow.com for more info. |
